What this policy covers

Domain Wars is a public territory game and community sponsorship board. This policy applies to the Domain Wars website, board, project pages, reports, checkout flow, and capture records.

Information we handle

• Public project information: a submitted website address and public metadata such as its title, description, image, and favicon.
• Purchase information: payment and contact details are collected by the hosted payment provider. Domain Wars receives the information needed to verify a one-time purchase, provide support, and maintain the payment record. Domain Wars does not store full card numbers.
• Reports and support messages: the details you send when reporting a destination or contacting customer support.
• Operational signals: page views and bounded request, device, language, referrer, and network signals used to measure aggregate usage, rate-limit abuse, qualify visits, and protect the service. Visitor identifiers are hashed before they are used for visit qualification.

How we use information

• Operate the board, resolve project metadata, calculate legal moves, and publish capture history.
• Process and verify purchases, issue receipts through the payment provider, and investigate payment or refund problems.
• Review abuse, fraud, unsafe destinations, and moderation reports.
• Measure aggregate service health and product usage with privacy-limited analytics and error monitoring when those tools are configured.
• Respond to support requests and comply with legal or security obligations.

What is public

The board may publicly show a project domain, fetched public metadata, board position, rankings, capture history, and qualified visit totals. Payment email addresses, payment details, support messages, and private operational identifiers are not displayed on the public board.

Service providers

Domain Wars uses service providers for hosting and database infrastructure, hosted payments, error monitoring, and privacy-limited analytics. Those providers may process information on our behalf to deliver their services. A submitted destination is also contacted to retrieve its public metadata. We do not sell personal information.

Cookies, local storage, and retention

The website uses local browser storage to remember your light or dark theme choice. Optional product analytics, when enabled, runs in cookieless mode without persistent browser identity or session recording. Protected operator routes may use essential authentication cookies. We retain game, payment, moderation, and security records for as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and preserve public game history.
